Goldberg Attorney speaks at University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law
Goldberg Simpson’s Rudy J. Ellis III was recently invited to serve as guest speaker at University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law. Ellis, a 2016 graduate of Brandeis Law, addressed Professor Laura McNeal’s Civil Procedure class and spoke on a variety of topics.
“He did a wonderful job helping the first-year students make connections between theory and the practice of law,” McNeal said.
An Associate Attorney at Goldberg Simpson, Ellis works in multiple practice areas, including Insurance Defense and Business and Commercial Litigation.
First-year law student Austin Conway said hearing from Ellis was a valuable experience.
“Rudy Ellis allowed me to see the importance of what we are learning, and just how prevalent the rules and theories of law are when advancing through his everyday practice,” Conway said. “Seeing someone like Rudy, who was in our positions just a few years ago, being successful in applying what he learned here at Brandeis is extremely encouraging for the future.”
While studying at Brandeis Law, Rudy received his limited practice license to practice law in the Brandeis Entrepreneurship Clinic where he counseled MBA students on legal issues pertaining to start-up companies. During his third year, he was elected the Student Bar Association President and was also the recipient of both the Robert C. Jayes Memorial Award and the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society Award by the Brandeis School of Law.
Rudy is a Louisville native and was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in September of 2016. He can be reached at rellis@www.goldbergsimpson.com .
