Sarah Huyck is an associate with Goldberg Simpson and was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in October 2011. Ms. Huyck concentrates her practice in family law, including divorce, child custody, adoption, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and child support. Ms. Huyck previously worked as an associate with Key Law Group, where she spent over six years practicing with a focus in family law. Prior to private practice, Ms. Huyck served as a staff attorney in Jefferson County Family Court drafting orders and advising judges on legal matters. Ms. Huyck is also licensed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
Ms. Huyck is originally from Paducah, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as a member of the Honors Program. She graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2011. While in law school, Ms. Huyck was an intern to a Kentucky Court of Appeals Judge as well as to the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. During her 3L year, Ms. Huyck served in the law school’s legal clinic, providing pro bono legal services to indigent clients while practicing under a limited law license. She was also a top advocate on the Trial Advocacy Board.
Ms. Huyck is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association, where she is a regular volunteer. Ms. Huyck is regularly appointed as a Guardian ad Litem representing children in custody disputes, abuse and neglect cases, and adoptions.
Ms. Huyck lives in Louisville, Kentucky, and outside of the practice of law, she enjoys playing softball, bowling, and spending time with her nephew and three nieces.
