Overview

Prior to joining Goldberg Simpson, Mr. Franklin was an Assistant Metro Louisville Public Defender. During his tenure at the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Franklin represented clients faced with felony charges, including: murder, kidnapping, robbery, and burglary. In addition to representing clients charged with criminal offenses, he also litigated cases in the Jefferson County Family Court.

Mr. Franklin is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He attended the University of Louisville, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors in 2004. In 2013 Mr. Franklin graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law. He is certified to practice in Western District of Kentucky (2017).

While in law school, Mr. Franklin was a member of the school’s Moot Court Society. He represented his school in an American Bar Association Moot Court Competition in Boston, Massachusetts. He also started a local chapter of the Federalist Society and brought in several prominent speakers such as: Alan Gura, Scott Bullock, and Christina Hoff Sommers.
