Goldberg Simpson continues The Q&A series with Trusts and Estates attorney Kelli Brown as she details what probate is, why it’s important and whether an attorney is necessary for the probate process. Kelli is a 1996 graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law and obtained her LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, in 1997. Kelli is licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. She represents clients in all aspects of estate planning, estate administration, probate, estate litigation, and elder law. She has published numerous articles on estate planning and probate and is a frequent speaker on all topics associated with Estate Planning. Kelli is active in the Kentucky Bar Association, having chaired the Probate and Trust Law Section three separate terms. She is also a member of the KBA Probate and Trust Legislative Committee which drafts proposed legislation with regard to Kentucky probate. She is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Kelli is AV rated with Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Brown has given over 50 presentations in her area of expertise. She is also one of only three females in Kentucky who are active members of the ACTEC.
