Overview

Jonathan D. Goldberg is a Partner with Goldberg Simpson. He helped start the current iteration of the firm in 1975 and was the Managing Partner from 1992 to 2019. His practice primarily includes general commercial litigation and employment law.

A graduate of Indiana University, Mr. Goldberg received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history in 1973. He earned his law degree from the University of Louisville in 1976.

Mr. Goldberg is a member of the anti-trust and labor sections of the American Bar Association, and a member of the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations. Mr. Goldberg is present chairman of the Jefferson County Waste Management District Board, past chairman of the Louisville Visual Arts Association and the Louisville Theatrical Association and is a member of the boards of directors of the Louisville Orchestra, and Fund for the Arts.

The Business Litigation practice area provides all manner of legal representation in business disputes, including shareholder relationship disputes, partnership disputes and other dispute resolution in Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort, Bowling Green and Owensboro, Kentucky, as well as in all Kentucky cities. This area has represented companies with respect to civil and criminal anti-trust investigations on both the state and federal levels. The Labor and Employment practice area has extensive experience in all aspects of labor and management relations, employment and personnel law from the management and employee perspectives. One component of the practice area is geared toward compliance and prevention, and the firm works closely with in-house human resource managers to design workplace policy and procedure manuals for employers in Kentucky.
