Goldberg Simpson attorney Stephen E. Smith presented in a seminar last month in Lexington, Kentucky, on the subject of Construction Law for Public Projects. His presentation was entitled, “Ethical Issues in Government Construction Law,” and dealt with various aspects of daily dealings with engineers, suppliers, and government contractors.
Also, Mr. Smith will speak on October 23, 2014, at the University of Kentucky College of Law’s Construction Law Institute. The Institute is one of the foremost regional programs for keeping abreast of current trends in construction and engineering law. Mr. Smith will be a part of a panel discussion called, “What They Haven’t Taught You About Arbitration.” The panel will focus on strategies that will help practitioners take advantage of the construction and engineering experience and knowledge of their arbitrators.
