Brown lectures Kentucky’s new lawyers on probate law

Today, Goldberg Simpson partner Kelli Brown spoke today at the Kentucky Bar Association’s New Lawyer Program in Covington, KY. Brown’s presentation concerned the basics of Kentucky probate and trust law. In addition to speaking at the program, Brown also drafted the probate and trust portion of the written materials received by all new admittees to the Kentucky bar this year.

Brown said, “Of all of the presentations that I do, I look forward to this every year. They are a fun group and they are excited to be lawyers.” This is Brown’s fourth consecutive year of participating in the New Lawyer Program as an instructor.

The Kentucky Supreme Court requires that, “Within twelve (12) months following the date of admission as set forth on the certificate of admission, each person admitted to membership to the Kentucky Bar Association shall complete the New Lawyer Program.” SCR 3.652(5).
